Here are four brand names you never knew were from Malaysia.

1. Jimmy Choo

Jimmy Choo is a Malaysian and British fashion designer who specialized in luxury women’s shoes.

Jimmy Choo was born in Penang, Malaysia, in a family of shoemakers. His father passed down the natural talent of making shoes by hand to his son. He successfully created his first pair of shoes at the age of 11, and little did he know he would end up creating one of the biggest luxury shoe brands in the world.

Among those who have donned Jimmy Choo’s expensive, high-end shoes at award shows and events are Princess Diana, Olivia Wilde, Sandra Bullock, Madonna, Kendall Jenner, Bella Hadid, Beyonce, Katy Perry, Emma Stone, Michelle Obama, Carrie Underwood, the list is endless!
