Everyone is occupied with too many things that may cause a lot of stress and even physical health issues in some cases. So the physical and psychological health of a person is always at risk in modern life.

The same is the case in the capital city of Pakistan, Islamabad. In this fast-paced life, it is important to keep yourself fresh and calm. Many places around the city provide everyone with the opportunity to refresh themselves. These places not only provide some fresh air to the locals but beautiful enough for the visitors to spend some memorable time.

Nilan Bhotu Valley:

Not far away from Islamabad, Nilan Bhotu valley is a perfect spot to spend your weekend. It is a 40-minute drive from the city and at a distance of 27 kilometers on the KPK side of Margalla Hills in the northeast of Islamabad.

This place has ponds with crystal clear water. All the ponds are full of fish known as Mahseer. Locals of the area have banned fishing. You can only enjoy the time there without fishing.

There is also chilla Gah of the famous Sufi saint Bari Imam. The Shrine of Bari Imam is located in Islamabad but this place was used by him for meditation.

This place is best to get yourself fresh and ready for work coming your way in the upcoming week. You can travel to the place on a motorbike or streetcar. Hiring a jeep is not that expensive as well.

Shahdara Valley:

Only 10km from Aiwan-e-Sadar, this is a beautiful village near Islamabad, the capital city of Pakistan. A 20-minute drive from the center of the city, Shahdara village is located near the Quaid-e-Azam University Islamabad.

The village is a perfect place to spend a peaceful day with amazing natural habitat. Just have a look at the below picture to think of sitting on a chair with your feet in the water and a cup of hot coffee in your hand. What else you want to refresh your mind.

You will find nature closer to you in Shahadra valley with water flowing and falling from a height, the birds chirping, and a lot of trees. The road to the village is fine for traveling with no worry to reach the spot.
