Unique and Popular Places to Stay in Gurgaon, India

It takes about 10 minute(s) to read this content.

Gurgaon, the “Millennium City,” is so-called because of its forward-thinking approach towards life. Consisting of a health-centric population, several top restaurants, plenty of shopping possibilities, and excursions for the entire family, Gurgaon continues to impress visitors with its versatile nature that has primarily transformed it into a business hub attracting companies from around the world.

As a base for economic activities and because of its location next to New Delhi, Gurgaon is frequented regularly by travelers visiting for tourism or business. Catering to this influx of guests are the hotels in Gurgaon that promise a range of living options as well as facilities to suit all personal and work-related needs.

Trident Gurgaon

Trident guarantees a tranquil sojourn in the very heart of the Gurgaon. Its position next to the main highway might seem problematic at first but is, in fact, convenient as it connects guests with the nearby airport and city center with ease. Moreover, once within the property that expands over acres of land, you’ll be far from the noise and the traffic, entering a world that evokes a sense of much-needed calm.

129 rooms and 7 spectacular suites make up Trident, Gurgaon. While that might seem excessive, the hotel’s area is grand enough to have open spaces aplenty, including a gorgeous reflection pool near the entrance. Trident remains one of the best places to stay in Gurgaon because it is not constructed in the standard hotel format. Instead, it takes on a resort look with beige-colored housings limited to a single story.

Besides the hotel’s luxurious bedrooms that include all modern-day amenities, Trident offers a range of services for its guests. It has a conference hall, a fitness center, a gorgeous outdoor swimming pool, and three highly-rated restaurants serving Indian, Japanese, and continental delicacies.

Lalit Mangar

It’s understandable for visitors to assume that most hotels in Gurgaon will be within the main city limits, providing easy access to the business centers and the shopping malls. However, nothing beats the idea of finishing work and heading to your room that is close enough to the bustle of the city, yet far from the claustrophobia it sometimes induces. Lalit Mangar is an “experiential stay,” a short 30-minute drive from the city. It’s setting amongst the Mangar Forrest transports you to a different world, a place where nature engulfs you and adventure awaits just outside your door.

An all-suite property, there are 35 well-furnished abodes at Lalit Magar that feature contemporary luxuries such as airconditioning, flat-screen TVs, toiletries, and 24-hour room service. The suites are spacious enough to accommodate two adults and two children, making the resort a perfect family weekend getaway option.

Lalit Mangar has a gym, a restaurant, and a bar. Those wanting a little more interaction can rent a bicycle to explore the surrounding area, visit the nearby village, go rock climbing, or ask the reception to organize a game of golf at a nearby 9-hole course.

Palms Town and Country Club

A “country club” might come across as an unconventional place to stay in Gurgaon, but The Palms is actually an excellent option for both business and personal travelers. Radiating a Mediterranean aura, The Palms is close to the Metro station and well connected with the rest of the city. Typically, residing at the club is limited to members and their guests, but “outsiders” can also book a room, paying a temporary membership fee for the duration of their stay.

The guestrooms at The Palms are lavish in appearance, large in size, and come packed with creature comforts, from free WIFI and room service to en-suite bathrooms and buffet breakfast.

As a resident, when staying at The Palms, you have access to all club facilities. These include a swimming pool, gym, multiple restaurants, a bar, and separate space for kids and teenagers to play. Since the club hosts numerous cultural events throughout the year, you might even get a chance to watch a live music performance or a famous theatrical production.

Karma Chalets

Surprisingly enough, there aren’t that many “boutique hotels” in Gurgaon. Those who claim to be, are more business hotels and lack the ingenuity of a quirky and unusual accommodation. Karma Chalets is an exception to this, offering a sojourn away from the city, allowing time to introspect and bond with the family.

As a sustainable hotel in Gurgaon, there’s much to relish at Karma Chalets. There is no plastic in use here, no sound-pollution, and water harvesting, all of which helps keep the surrounding environment fresh and rejuvenated. The highpoint of any stay here is the gorgeously decorated chalets, from the single bedroom studio magnolia and rabbit’s burrow, perfect for couples, to the family-friendly Jaguar’s Jungle, a duplex that can accommodate a party of six.

The magic of Karma Chalets continues at its in-house restaurant. Under the Neem follows the farm to plate philosophy and dishes out delicious preparations in a romantic setting. And to spend your time, there’s an abundance of activities to do. You can cycle around, go swimming, get a massage, learn cooking, or even take a crash course in bee farming.
